Zachary Blankenship, 25, of Bluewell, died Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. September 30, 1994 in Princeton, he was the son of Kevin Blankenship and the late Ramona Blankenship. Zach was an active member of the Montcalm Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the New Zion Regular Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Vincent Jack Smith and his paternal grandparents Roy and Betty Blankenship. In addition to his father he is survived by his siblings, Lee Blankenship, Amanda Blankenship, Bryan Thomas, and LeAnn Bailey; Fiancée, Stephanie Howard. Nieces and Nephews, Devin and Kevin Lee Blankenship, Chloee Bailey, Kolby Williams, and Kevin Robertson; Great-nephew, Devin Blankenship; Maternal grandmother, Mary Frances Weeks Nelson; Randolph Honaker. Funeral services for family and members of the Montcalm Fire Department to celebrate the life of Zach Blankenship will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 21, 2020, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Chris Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in New Zion Cemetery on Cheesy Creek Road with Firefighter honors will be given under the direction of the Montcalm Volunteer Fire Department. Those wishing to attend the graveside services are requested to meet at the funeral home no later than 2:30 P.M. Friends may visit with the family from Friday, March 20, 2020, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com . Serving as pallbearers will be T. J. Wyatt, Robert Budgee Havens, Kolby Williams, Jeb Belcher, Jimmy Shrewsbury and Todd Gullett. The Blankenship family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
