Our beloved Mother and Grandma, Ruby (Sexton) Mitchell Beasley, 96, passed away on June 24, 2018 at Princeton Healthcare Center in Princeton, West Virginia.
She was born on March 8, 1922 to Sam and Caroline Sexton. During her life, Ruby was a Christian and was devoted and active in her church. She was known for her donations of fried apple pies and handmade afghans. She was a true fan of the Princeton Rays, traveling to spring training and road games to support the team. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis "Roy" Beasley, and her former husband, Everett Mitchell and two daughters, Carolyn Schuerman and Kathy Taylor. Ruby is survived by daughters Nancy (Jim) Doyle and Susan (Charles) Barr. Grandchildren: Candy Parker, Jennifer Dixon and her husband Bill, Melody White, Michael White and his wife Leslie, Kim Barr, Kelly Boyd, Bruce Taylor, and Jaclyn Taylor. Great grandchildren: Kevin Parker, Emily Dixon, Jessica Dixon, Samantha Vidal, Lauren Vidal, Makenna White, Jackson White, Alyssa Crews, Johnna Crews. Great great grandchildren: Allana Taylor, McKira Taylor, Carmen Boyd, Cash Crews. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory, on the Athens Road, Princeton. Visitation is from 1:00-2:00 pm. The service will be led by Pastor Scott Hodge of Landmark Church of God and will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 10:00 am at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
