Christine Ruth Kidd Robinette, 81, of Sandlick Road, Bluefield, died peacefully Monday evening, September 24, 2018 at her home.
Born May 18, 1937 at Pikeville, KY, she was the daughter of the late
Ben and Nora Charles Kidd.
Mrs. Robinette worked in the food service industry for many years, having served as manager for several local restaurants as well as working in some local flower shops. While her health permitted, she enjoyed working with her flowers and gardening, and was very attentive to her animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herman Robert Robinette, along with ten brothers and sisters, she was the last surviving member of the immediate family.
Those left to cherish her memory, her four loving children and their spouses, Julie and Danny Bailey, Bob and Melissa Robinette all of Princeton, Patricia and Virgil Brown of Anderson, SC and Ballard and Connie Dutton of N. Wilkesboro, NC;
Six grandchildren, Ten great grandchildren; Sister-in-law, Patsy Kidd of Welch along with a host of nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Alice Marie Lester, who lived with Christine.
Funeral services will be held 2:00P.M. Saturday, September 29, 2018 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Ralph Steele officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Wildwood Mausoleum of Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
