Patricia G. Patsy Riggs, 43 of Rock went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown after a year battle with Leukemia. Born on October 20, 1966 in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of Betty Compton of Rock and the late Fred Ray Compton. She was a graduate of Montcalm High School and she attended the Montcalm Church of God where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Ladies Ministries. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents, Clarence and Geneva Pennington and Earl and Avie Compton. Survivors in addition to her mother Betty Compton include, Her Husband David Riggs Sisters Betsy and husband Jimmy Kelly, Jackie Compton and companion Richard Ellison all of Lake Bottom Donna Compton of Montcalm Delores and companion Billy Farmer of Matoaka Four Nephews, Three Nieces, Three Great Nieces and One Great Nephew Several Aunts and Uncles Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 26, 2009 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Dave Robertson and Speakers Ryan Lawrence and Jimmy Kelly officiating. Music will be provided by Singers Dorothy Lockhart and Eddie Day. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy and Bobby Kelly, Rodney Pennington, Danny Cook, Jimmy Stilner and Jimbo Eldridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Perkins, Bernie Gills, Jr. and Kenny Worley. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
