Winfred Lee Shrewsbury, 76, of Kegley, died peacefully Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born May 27, 1948, at Mullens, he was the son of the late Sylvester Clyde Shrewsbury Sr. and Ruby Mae Manning Shrewsbury. Winfred was a graduate of Mullens High School. He was a self-made businessman, working hard all of his life, always willing to help his family and friends. He was the owner operator of Shrewsbury Machine Shop at Speedway, creating the Reel Catch Fishing Pond on Brick Street in Princeton along with several other business interest. Winfred loved the outdoors, especially fishing with family & friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Beatrice Ilene Farley & Sandra Yvonne Reed. Those left to cherish his memory, his wife of 20 years, Dorothy E. Hawk Shrewsbury, three children, Donna Lowe & husband Brian, Steve Shrewsbury & wife Lisa, Tonya Shrewsbury & husband Scott Reed, 6 grandchildren, Robert Paul Catron Jr., Shawn Keith Lowe, Brian Alexander Lowe & wife Jaden, Hudson Winfred Shrewsbury, Austin Douglas Shrewsbury, & Nikota Lee Shrader, two great grandchildren, Windie Lee Catron & Sawyer Isaac Lowe. Four siblings, Della Jane Wall & husband Scotty, Sylvia Mae Hamden, Clyde Sylvester Shrewsbury Jr. & his companion Jean, Donald Ray Shrewsbury. Along with a host of nieces and nephews. The family has honored Mr. Shrewsbury wishes, he has been cremated and there will be no services.
