William Donald Gilbert, 59, of Possum Hollow Road, Princeton, died peacefully early Monday morning, October 9, 2023, at his home. Born July 18,1964, in Princeton, WV, he was the son of the late Ryland Fox Gilbert and Virgie Sue Dunn Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert was a professional truck driver for several companies in the area. While his health permitted, he enjoyed riding his Harley, working on his truck, and spending time with his fur babies and most of all, spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Noah Nelson, two siblings: Rhonda Lynn Gilbert and William Lee Gilbert. Survivors include his wife, Crystal Renee Ayers Gilbert; Three children, Brandon Gilbert (Cecelia), Bradley Nelson (Destiny) and Sabrina Nelson; Three grandchildren, Abby, Samuel and Gabe;  Two siblings, Don Diaz and Gabby Gilbert. Services will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, October 12, 2023, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor C.T. Lilly, III officiating. Following the service, he will be cremated. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 6:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
