Walter P. Law, Jr., 93 of Princeton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17 in Lerona.  Born July 13, 1929, in Lerona he was the son of the late Walter P. Law, Sr. and Thelma Gray Butterworth Law. Walter was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather as well as a loyal brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mae Truitt Law as well as several brothers and sisters.  He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  Walter worked as a lineman for the telephone company in WV and was a "jack of all trades" for the U.S. Post Office in Arizona. Earlier in his life he was known to build a moonshine still or two.  He enjoyed working with his hands and tinkering in the garage and had picked up an artistic streak in his later years.  He loved making deals on houses and cars and was always looking for the next great one.  He passed on his love of camping and travel to his children.  Walter never met a stranger, especially if he was out on the weekends at a yard sale.  Left to cherish his memory are his children Cheri; Stephen and wife Beth; one granddaughter, Barbara; one great-granddaughter, Lilly; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, especially Sigrid.  The family has honored Walter's request to be cremated.  Memorial services to celebrate the life of Walter P. Law, Jr. will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 23, 2023, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Eddie Via officiating.  Military rites to be provided by the WV Honor Guard.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.  Donations in his memory can be made to Helpful Harvest Food Bank, P.O.
