Obituary

Virginia Brinkley Mullins Terry, 90, of Bent Mountain Road, Lerona, passed away the morning of October 28, 2025, at the Rockin' Chair Residential Care. Born February 18, 1935, Virginia was the youngest daughter of the late James Green Brinkley and the late Elizabeth Jane (Betty) Shutt.

Virginia spent her life serving others and retired after 22 years from the Child Advocate Office in Princeton, where she worked as a legal assistant. She was a member of the First Church of God in Princeton.

Virginia was the last surviving member of her immediate family, which included five brothers and three sisters. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Terry; her only daughter, Teresa Mullins; and a special nephew, Dempsy "Randy" Brinkley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, James and his wife Beth, and Doug and his significant other Jeri Lynn; four grandchildren, Aleah Leggett and her husband Alex, Nolan Mullins and his wife Airwana, Timmy Mullins, and Alex Mullins; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Mullins, Gracelyn Mullins, Colin Leggett, and Luke Leggett; and special nieces Patty, Barbara, and Bonnie.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the family and staff of the Rockin' Chair Residential Care for the love and compassion shown to Virginia during the last months of her life.

A crypt-side service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Elder Fred Reynolds officiating. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery mausoleum by 11:45 AM.
