Virginia Lee Hansbarger, 86, of Simmons Circle, Princeton. died Friday, August 2, 2024, at her home. Born April 19, 1938, in Itmann, she was the daughter of the late Charles Herman French and Ethel Cora Cook French. Virginia was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Virginia really enjoyed working with crafts and was a member of Peaceful Valley Church. Virginia retired from the Celanese Corporation with 33 years service from the stable department. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Pendleton, a granddaughter Amanda Lee Woods, three siblings, Margaret Martin, Tracy French and Dorothy Snyder and companion of 33 years Frank Claytor. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Debbie McNeely and husband Terry; Special daughter, Karen Westover; One grandson, Christopher Woods and wife Carlie; Two great-grandchildren, Izzy and Kolton; One sister, Mary Bradley; Several nieces and nephews also survive. Services to honor and celebrate the life of Virginia Hansbarger will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road with Pastor Randall Shrewsbury officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A,M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
