Virginia "Judy" Annabelle Godfrey, 93, of Princeton, departed this life on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Born, May 11, 1929, in Matoaka, she was the daughter of the late Charley Robert Godfrey and Stella Opal McKinney Godfrey. Judy was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She retired from General Telephone and Electronics Corporation (GTE) with 38 years of service. Judy loved dolls, tigers and to go to flea markets and was a member of the Matoaka Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Jean Martin, two brothers, Wesley Godfrey and Edward Godfrey Aunt Betty Graham and her Husband Willis, and one niece, Vicky Godfrey Stewart. Left to cherish her memory are her niece Katrina Burda and her children, Dustin Mitcham (Keely Conley) and Elijah Burda and grandchildren Cohen and Eleanor; Nephew, Stephen Edward Godfrey and wife Beth; Niece, Kim Godfrey Sanders; Aunt, Fran Grace and husband Edward and their children. Beth and Debbie; Cousins, Pam Graham and husband Charles Ghaul, Sonya Jennings and husband Richard; Special friends, Linda, Shelby, Sandy and many others. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 30, 2023, in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Randall Shrewsbury of the Peaceful Valley Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
