Thomas Walter Janes, 69, of Princeton, died suddenly Sunday, October 8, 2023, at his home. Born June 28, 1954, in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late William Joseph Janes and Betty Marion Peters Janes. Mr. Janes was a sheet metal mechanic most of his life. In his early days of life, he enjoyed fishing, but what he enjoyed more than anything was playing his guitar. He was well known in the Princeton area, having played at Sister's Coffee House, Music in the Square and many other venues. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Paula L. Nicewander Janes along with several siblings. Survivors include his son, Andrew Thomas Janes; Three siblings, Nancy Ann Conroy, Phyllis Mary Kuhn, Richard Patrick Janes and wife Mary Elizabeth; Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 20, 2023, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
