Teresa Lynn Ramsey

July 24, 1959 – November 10, 2025

Teresa Lynn Ramsey, 66, of Lerona, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on November 10, 2025, after courageously facing and overcoming several battles with cancer since 2003.

Born on July 24, 1959, in Montgomery, West Virginia, Teresa spent her childhood in Fayette County and Wayne County before moving with her family to Elyria, Ohio. She graduated from Elyria West High School in 1977. It was there that she met the love of her life, John Ramsey. The two married and eventually returned to West Virginia, settling in Mount Hope, where they raised their two sons. Later in life, Teresa and John made their home in Lerona.

Teresa's greatest joy was her family. After retiring, she cherished every moment spent with her two beloved grandsons, Joshua and Daniel. She will be remembered most for her deep love for her family and her unwavering faith in the Lord. Always ready to pray with others — whether in person or over the phone — Teresa shared her faith through her words, her kindness, and her strength. Despite her many health challenges, she never complained, inspiring everyone around her with her resilience and grace.

In her youth, Teresa loved roller skating, attending Bible studies, and expressing her creativity as an avid artist. Her lifelong passion for learning led her to complete several college-level Bible studies. She retired as a medical coder from Bluefield, WV & Princeton Hospital.  She also shared her nurturing spirit by helping to establish and maintain a daycare at Princeton Church of God, where she was a faithful member.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Georgia Frazier of Elyria, Ohio. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Ramsey of Lerona; her sons, John Ramsey of Forest Hill, and Ralph Ramsey and his wife Megan of Richmond, Virginia; her grandsons, Joshua and Daniel Ramsey; and her sisters, Sharon Frazier, Brenda Plasencia (Gil), and Ruth Burks (Terry), all of Elyria, Ohio, as well several nieces & nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Teresa Ramsey will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 13, 2025, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Ryan Parks officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour.
Teresa's life was a testament of faith, love, and perseverance. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
