They moved to Princeton in 1995 and lived there for the next 28 years. Ted was active in Princeton First Baptist Church serving as an ordained deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member. He loved singing in the choir and the camaraderie among the members. He also narrated almost all of their cantatas. He worked for Med-Response, Bluefield, for 9 years, repairing oxygen concentrators. He made many friends there. Ted enjoyed traveling with his wife. They visited all 50 states, 9 countries in Europe, the West Indies, and Mexico.
