Obituary

Ted A. Cline, 86, of Bluefield, formerly of McDowell County, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday evening, October 6, 2025, with his loving family at his side. Born May 26, 1939, in Isaban, he was the son of the late Madison Cline & Maude Harless Cline. Ted was a graduate of Iaeger High School.  He retired from U.S. Steel as a foreman at the Preparation Plant with 30 years of service. Upon moving to Mercer County, Ted was a member of First Church of God on Mahood Avenue in Princeton. He served in many capacities, Board of Elders, Trustees, Pulpit Committee, Adult Sunday School Class, and various other capacities in the life of the church. Ted loved his church family and will be sorely missed. Besides his love for God & family, he was an avid Mountaineer & Braves fan all of his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Herman & Harvey Cline. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Lila Frances Snow Cline, son Randy Cline and three siblings, Hersel Cline, Freda Chandler & Connie Ray Cline and wife Ina, along with a host of nieces and nephews. A homegoing service, honoring the life of Ted Cline will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 10, 2025, at the First Church of God on Mahood Avenue in Princeton with Pastor Ray Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
