Obituary

Tammy Lynn Gillispie, 58, of Grafton, passed away peacefully on December 27,2025, at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. She was born on March 24, 1967, in Bluefield, West Virginia, the beloved daughter of the late Stanley D. and Evelyn Marie Walker Gillispie.  Tammy was a proud graduate of Matoaka High School, Class of 1985. A devoted homemaker, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved crocheting, doing crafts, playing bingo, and spending time on her iPad, but nothing meant more to her than being surrounded by her family. Tammy had a gentle spirit, a kind heart, and a quiet way of making those around her feel loved and welcome. She is survived by her five brothers, Homer Lee Gillispie, Stanley Lawrence Gillispie, William Lloyd Gillispie, Richard James Gillispie, and Brian Gillispie; one sister Clara Gail Fowler; along with several nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory. In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Wayne Gillispie, and three sisters, Janet Marie Reed, Rita Colleen Turner, and Connie Sue Rogers. Family and friends will be received for a service at Memorial Funeral Home on December 30, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., with Rev. Richard James Gillispie officiating. Interment will follow at Crotty Cemetery in Pinoak, West Virginia. Tammy will be remembered for her loving nature, her gentle soul, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
