Obituary

Isaiah 57:1-2, "The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death."

Heaven gained an angel, Tabetha Lynn Butler, 41, of Huntington WV passed away October 4, 2025 in St Mary's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Deborah Butler/Kolbe and John Jefferies. Tabetha was a loving mother to three beautiful children, Amelia, Brison and Michael. Tabetha loved being a mother, she loved spending time with her siblings, Sierra and Steven, and being an aunt to Sierra's children, Addyson and Devon. Tabetha loved life, she lived it everyday like it was her last. She was full of fire, love, craziness, passionate, resilient, most importantly, Tabetha was selfless. Tabetha taught her family and friends a gift, to never give up on something, even when it's hard, to love unconditionally. Making memories with her friends and family, loving unconditionally was a staple of who Tabetha was. Tabetha is a driven, fiercely, independent woman, from completing Mercer County Day Report program, to being one semester shy of a bachelors degree at Concord University and every job she worked. Tabetha will be remembered by her contagious laugh, her vibrant personality, her passion and drive to succeed in everything she did, her love for God, her incredible cooking skills and her unconditional love that she had for everyone she met.
