Stephen Douglas Weitzel, 59, of South Avenue, Princeton, died Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born November 19, 1963, in Bay Village, OH, he was the son of Carol Ann Gardlock Weitzel and the late Roderick (Rod) Henry Weitzel. Stephen was a mechanic/truck driver for Fly-By-Nite Disposal Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and driving long distance. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Daniels and a grandson, Jordan. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 28 years, Deborah "Debbie" Prestandrea Weitzel; His mother Carol Ann Weitzel; Two sons, Stephen A. Weitzel and wife Kelsey, Tristan W. Weitzel; One daughter, Tiffany D. Weitzel and fiancée, Andre Dent; Grandchildren, Emmitt, Adalynn, Addison, Josiah, Joshua and Mahayla; Siblings, Terran L. Weitzel and wife Jessica, Danny Weitzel and wife Jeannie and Amanda Damewood and husband Andy; Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 22, 2023, from Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Jim Simmons officiating. Following the services, he will be cremated. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
