Stephen Keith Setliff, 42, of Flat Top, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at his residence after a brief illness.

Born December 6, 1983, in Princeton, WV, he was the son of Lewis Setliff and Teena Walls Raley. Stephen was a talented mechanic and enjoyed using his mechanical mind to repair anything.

When not working, Stephen enjoyed the outdoors, shooting and spending time with his son, Garret.

Stephen, fondly known as “Big Ogre”, was preceded in death by grandfather, Chester Setliff, maternal grandparents, Dennis Walls and Loretta Lilly Walls, and uncle, Buck Walls.

In addition to his parents, Stephen is survived by his children, Sophia Setliff and Garret Setliff; step father, Bill Raley; grandmother, Rheba Setliff; sister, Katelynn Yost and Jake, Jessica Raley; brother, Thomas Raley and Maya; aunts, Tammy Shrewsbury and Buster, Suzette Parks and Joe, Shawn Raley; uncles, Johnny Walls and Valerie Bailey, Ronnie Hockaday and Thor Hockaday; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will held 2:30 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Directory, Princeton, WV with John Jennings officiating. Burial to follow in the Setliff Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:30 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Friends and family members will serve as pallbearers.
