Obituary

Stephen Douglas Farmer, 42, of Thorpe, died suddenly Thursday, October 20, 2022, at his home. Born June 27, 1980, in Bluefield, he was the son of Jerry & Glenna Carson Farmer. Stephen was a graduate of East Davidson High, Thomasville, NC in 1998, he was a member of the EDH marching band. He worked for CNC as operator/programmer until he became disabled. Stephen held a special place in his heart & life for the Shriner's, they provided much help for him during his life, for that, he was a great cheerleader and supporter for Shriners.  He enjoyed fishing, bowling, riding his razor and spending time with his family. He had a little saying he liked to say to all the family ERRRRRRR. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Lil Carson of Elkhorn, paternal grandparents Vernon and Katie Farmer of Elbert. Those left to cherish his memory, his parents, Jerry and Glenna; Brother Jerry Lee Farmer and wife Krissy, and their two daughters who he loved dearly, Madison and Morgan; A special aunt Carolyn (Dude) Kennedy. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, Novemeber 5, 2022,  the Havaco Community Church in Havaco with Pastor Rhodeena Hatfield officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the church.  Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com .  The Farmer family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
