Stella Faye Griffith, 77, of Reece Harmon Ridge Road, Rock, died peacefully Friday, July 12, 2024, at her home. Born September 30, 1946, at Northfork, she was the daughter of the late Ward G. Steele and Dollris Tedder Steele. Mrs. Griffith was a graduate of Montcalm High School in 1964, continued her education at Concord College receiving her Bachlor's degree in Education. She earned a Masters' degree in School Counseling from Virginia Teah. She retired from the Mercer County Board of Education from Lashmeet/Matoaka Elementary School after 35 years of service. Stella loved children and working with crafts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a sister Ruth Davis. Those left to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, John Robert Griffith; Three siblings: Hazel Blankenship, Bertha Glass and Marvin Steele (Judy) and several  nieces and nephews.
