Sible Jane Hall, 79, of Speedway, died peacefully Monday, March 30, 2026, at her home with her family at her side.

Born March 2, 1947, at Pilot, VA, she was the daughter of the late James Jefferson Horton & Mary Jane Miller Horton.

Jane graduated from Athens High School. Up until her retirement, Jane worked as a phlebotomist for Princeton Community Hospital and at Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg, VA. She attended Painters Chapel Church at Speedway. While her health permitted, she enjoyed working in her garden & working puzzles. Jane was a person who didn't shy away from hard work.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by four siblings, Shelby, Sherman, Sylvia & Stanley.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Michael Dale Hall, son, Edward Lee Whittaker & wife Jenny, daughter Susie Michelle Lanley & husband John, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and one on the way. One brother, Sherell "Jack" Horton along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening, April 2, 2026, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Randy Sargent officiating. Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday at Grandview Memory Gardens on the Bluefield-Tazewell Road, Bluefield VA.

Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until the service time.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Frye, John Lanley, Kyle Graves, Barry Waters, Anthony Graham & Brian Meadows.
