Shirley Joan Martin, 59, of Princeton, died unexpectedly. Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Born July 19, 1962, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Richard Martin & Lila Marlene Neely Martin. Joan graduated from Athens High School and Mountain State University. For many years, Joan has been the Office/Business Manager for Dynasty Athletics in Princeton. She had attended Johnston Chapel Baptist Church. Joan will be remembered for being a loving and dotting grandma to her granddaughter Kassidy, Shirley was known by all the little children at the Gym, they would also often refer to her as Nana. All relatives lovingly knew her as Joan. Joan loved to sew, garden, bake and make sure that her family was taken care of both in the home as well as the gym. Survivors include her husband Ronald Dean Rumburg, two children, Richard Wayne "Ricky" Sexton, Megan Renee Belcher & husband Greg. And the one that held the key to her heart, her granddaughter Kassidy Gracin Belcher, One sister Sandy Renn & husband Donald. Nephew Jeff Renn & Lindsay, Niece Jennifer Hairston & Jason along with 6 great nephews & 2 great nieces. Services to celebrate the life of Shirley Martin will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 2, 2022, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Jerry Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Neely Cemetery at Pipestem.
