Shirley Jean Bailey Belcher, 87, of Kegley WV, went home to be with the Lord Thursday morning, August 10th, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born September 23, 1935, at Lamar Mountain WV, she was the daughter of the late George Jay Bailey and Tressie Ella Austin Bailey.

She was a faithful member up until her illness, of Kegley United Methodist Church; where she served as Sunday School teacher, Youth Leader, Ladies ministry and many other groups within the church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother "Grana".

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, James Lynwood Belcher of Kegley, WV; daughter; Robin Lynn Hess and (Wallace) of Princeton; and grandson; James Mario Gonzalez Belcher and (Autumn) of Kegley, WV and loving Great-grandchildren; Nora Faye Gonzalez Belcher and Kashton James Gonzalez Belcher of Kegley WV; Step-granddaughter; Karen Hess of Princeton; Two sisters, Merry Georgia Bailey of Lashmeet WV and Juanita Gayle East of Madison, OH; One brother; Sandford Jay Bailey of Lamar Mountain, WV; Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Shirley Jean Bailey Belcher, will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton, WV with Pastors Bill Deskins and C.T. Lilly III officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the George Jay Bailey Cemetery at Lamar, WV.

Serving as pallbearers will be, James Mario Gonzalez Belcher, Dalton Ellison, Sandy Jay Bailey, Wendell Shrewsbury, Gary Johnson, Josh Williams.
