Sharon Faye Shrewsbury, 77, of Quail Valley Estates, Princeton, died peacefully Friday morning, April 22, 2022, at Commonwealth Care Facility, Cedar Bluff, VA. Born April 11, 1945, at Kimball, she was the daughter of the late William H. Buckland and Ruth Violet Evans Buckland. Educated in McDowell County, she was a graduate of McClains Business College.  She was an active member of Princeton Church of God, on the Oakvale Road in Princeton. Sharon was devoted in serving God, loving her family, attending church, Sunday school and her animals. Sharon retired from Appalachian Power Company with more than 27 years of service as a Customer Service Representative. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Robert Lowell "Bob" Shrewsbury and a brother Larry Buckland. Those left to cherish her memory, her sons, Russell l. Shrewsbury and Jeffery D. Shrewsbury; Two siblings, Martha Boyd and husband Charles, William Buckland and wife Linda; Her dear four-legged friend, Theo. Funeral services to honor the life of Sharon Shrewsbury will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Larry Buckland, Jr. officiating. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.  Following her services, her wishes will be honored by her family, she will be cremated, and the inurnment will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 29, 2022, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 A.M.
