Sharon Kay Jones, 72, of Princeton, West Virginia passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026. Born on July 27, 1953, in Welch, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Woodrow Mallory and Margaret Mallory. Sharon was a graduate of Welch High School and was a teacher's aide for the McDowell County School System until her retirement in 2015. Sharon was married to the love of her life, Richard Glenn Jones, and had one daughter, Robin Ann. Together they enjoyed everything about life - Motown Music, racing cars, dancing, beach trips, being with friends and family and most importantly lots of love and laughter. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Margaret Mallory, her Stepmother, Maggie Mallory and her loving husband of 42 years, Richard. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Mallory, a special niece, Cynthia Mallory Daniels, and her loving sister- in- law, Bettie Mallory. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Robin Ann Jones of Princeton, WV, one brother, Jim Mallory of Princeton, WV, two sisters, Connie Sigmon and her husband Junior of Carswell Hollow, WV, Lynn Hardee and her husband Fred of Kimball, WV. Sharon is also survived by many very special nephews and nieces and her very special friends, Dreama Frazier, Ida Haskins, Marlene Farris and Lu Dillon. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Robby Shorter officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at Roselawn Memorial Garden in Princeton, WV. Friends may call from 11:30 AM until the service time. Pallbearers will be Ron Mallory, Logan Mallory, Nick Wood, Zachary Lockhart, Patrick Dickenson, and Mikaela Church. Her daughter would like to send a very heartfelt thank you to everyone at Princeton Rescue Squad and Glenwood Healthcare Center who have helped care for her over the last several years.
