Sandra Sue (Gooslin) Pilkins, 74, of Bluefield, died Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Blacksburg, VA.

Born September 6, 1951, in Mercer County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Thurman Dewey Gooslin and Neter Mabel Farmer and Roman Farmer who helped raise her.

Sandra loved being a housewife and spending time with her family and friends and really enjoyed their visits. She loved playing horseshoes with her family back in the day. Sandra loved cooking for her family and friends and especially making her homemade biscuits which was the subject of many conversations around the table.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 55 years, Ben Pilkins; Four children, her daughter, Lois (Tommy) Ratliff of Bluefield; Her sons, Kenneth Pilkins of Bluefield, Mark (Amanda) of Bluefield and Tony (Priscilla) Pilkins of Bramwell; Two brothers, Thuman Dewey Gooslin and Teddy Farrmer; Thirteen grandchildren; Eight great-grandchildren  and one great-grandchild on the way; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Noon, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road with Pastor Brent Ferrell officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
