Russell William "Tall Man" Lawrence, 72, of Fayette Street, Princeton, died Saturday, August 3, 2019 at his residence. Born April 12, 1947, in Mercer County, WV, he was the son of the late Russell Noah and Ruby Mae Lawson Lawrence. Russell was also known as "Tall Man" by his family and friends. He worked in the construction industry and enjoyed old cars and trading.  Russell was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Curtis Lawrence. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Linda Darlene Lawrence; Four children, Michelle Akers and husband Brian, Allen Lawrence and Larry Lawrence, Nicole Skeens and husband K.W.; Four brothers, Don Lawrence and wife Vickie, John Lawrence and wife Sandi, Bobby Lawrence and Eddie Lawrence; Two sisters, Rita Workman and Loretta Fletcher; Nine grandchildren and one on the way; Five great-grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Russell W. "Tall Man" Lawrence, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 9, 2019 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor C.T. Lilly, III, officiating. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
