Russell Lester East, 62, of Princeton, WV, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, August 10, 2025.  Born March 12, 1963 in East Orange, New Jersey.  He is the son of Randall Lester East and the late Fanny Faye East. Russell was a self-employed carpenter for many, many years.  He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the West Virginia Mountaineers.  He enjoyed playing pool at POP's, was known as a pool shark, and loved to play bingo.  He was loved and cherished by many and never met a stranger. In addition to his mother, Faye, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Matthew East.  Russell is survived by his father, Randall East; his daughter, Sheena Fisher (Jody); and his son, Russell Lee Ball.  Three grandchildren, MacKenzi Barker, Levi Barker, and Ryker Hatfield-Ball. The love of his life, Shelia Carroll.  Three brothers, Wayne East (Ruth), Greg East (Barb), and Shannon East (Fran).  As well as many nieces and nephews who survive him.  A time of gathering and sharing memories will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton, WV. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com . The East family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on Athens Road in Princeton.
