Rufus Dillard Muncy, 97, of Fawn Circle, Bluefield, VA, died Sunday, March 5, 2023, at his home with his family by his side. Born, August 21, 1925, in Narrows, he was the son of the late John Muncy and Euna Caldwell Muncy. Rufus loved his family and served his county honorably in the U.S. Navy. He was the owner/operator of Hart Electric in Bluefield. Rufus enjoyed golfing, boating and being with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Jean Hickman Muncy and one brother, Charles Muncy. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted daughter, Mary Sue Muncy-Gray (Thad); One sister, Norma Ferguson. The family has honored his request to be cremated. A gathering will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, between 1:00 P.M. and 2:00 P.M. at the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
