Obituary

Ruby Lee Roles Bailey, 96, of Princeton, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025 at home with her family by her side. Born on July 6, 1928, in Mercer County to the late George Henry Parker and Ada Six Parker. After high school, Ruby worked in the Commercial Division for Fawcett Printing in Rockville, Maryland. Ruby returned to Princeton in 1970 and finished her career at Holiday Inn of Princeton, WV. Ruby enjoyed canning and cooking. She was a caretaker for many people throughout her life as well. When her health permitted, Ruby was a dedicated member of the Princeton Church of Christ. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husbands, John Roles and Leonard Bailey; and a son, Roger Lee Roles. Ruby is survived by her sons, John Wayne Roles and wife, Dawn, Michael Hugh Roles and wife, Susan; stepson, Charles Bailey; grandchildren, John W. Roles, Jr.; Michael Hugh Roles, Jr.; Victoria Lee Dols; Mende Marie Cook; Allen Ford Roles, Emily Bailey and Ryan Bailey; thirteen great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren.  A Graveside service will be held 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Courthouse Road in Princeton with Minister Jimmy Helmadollar officiating. Those planning on attending the graveside are asked to meet at Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road by 11:30 A.M. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
