Rosemarie Suggs, 84, of Princeton, WV passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Bermuda Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Bermuda Run, NC. Born in Kochelsdorf, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Karl Krupop and mother, Marie Krupop Bunk. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Rayford K. Suggs of New Smyrna Beach, FL and her sister, Ursula Bunk.

Mrs. Suggs is survived by her son, Ronald Suggs and his wife Shelly of Bermuda Run, NC and her two daughters, Sandra Suggs of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Brenda Dillon of Princeton, WV; two sisters, Renate Scharch and husband Kurt Scharch of Kirchberg, Germany and Dorathea Hamer and husband Richard Hamer of Bluefield, WV.; four grandchildren, Kelsey Dixon and her husband Kris of Columbia, SC, Celina Houston of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Abby Wood and her husband John of Clemmons, NC, and Adam Suggs of Bermuda Run, NC; and four great-grandsons Ryker Houston, Judah Dixon, Lukah Dixon and Micah Dixon.

Mrs. Suggs first worked as a seamstress and homemaker as she raised her family. Later, she worked for over 20 years in retail shoe sales at Shoe World and eventually retired from Wal-Mart. She came to the United States in 1962, and her first home was in Ft. Lewis, WA. She lived in various places in VA and NC but has resided in Bluefield, WV since 1978. She adored her family, loved music and traveling, preparing traditional German dishes, and had some of her fondest memories riding on trains. She enjoyed playing cards with family during the holidays and with friends at the local Hardees. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Visitation will be held beginning at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Directory, 654 Athens Rd, Princeton, WV . A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM, with Pastor James Mooney officiating with interment at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 450 Courthouse Rd, Princeton WV.
