Roger Allen "Hoot" Gibson, 65, of Princeton, died Monday, April 25, 2023, at his residence. Born May 24, 1957, in Iaeger, he was the son of the late Luther Howard Gibson and Virginia Mildred Elliot Gibson. Hoot was employed as a dry wall/plasterer for Service Contractors in Virginia. He enjoyed watching westerns and playing ball with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Hoot was preceded in death by his sister, Eva Gibson and two brothers, Benny Gibson and Randall Gibson. Survivors include his children, Allen Gibson and wife Virginia, Casey Gibson and wife Rebecca, David Lawrence, Chris Lawrence and wife Chrissy and Jennifer Lawrence; Sisters, Jackie Wright, Jenetta Sprouse, Leona Wood, Rita Sprouse, Cybil Sprouse; Brothers, Glen Gibson and wife Josie, Junior Gibson and wife Maggie, and Ricky Gibson; Twenty-three grandchildren; Nineteen great-grandchildren; The mother of his children, Joyce Gibson; Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive; Best friend, Warren Neal.
