Obituary

Rita Mae Neal, 81, of Princeton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at her residence in Mandeville Lousiana with her loving family by her side. Born November 6, 1943, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Henry Lee Dunn & Frances Lorrine White. She graduated from Princeton Senior High School. She retired from Princeton Community Hospital with twenty-four years of service working in the Operating Room. Rita was the founder and President of Miracle Deliverance Center in Princeton and holds a Doctor of Divinity. After retirement Rita continued her ministry teaching and speading the gospel of Jesus Christ thru social media. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband and high school sweetheart Melvin Lewis Neal, three siblings, Lorraine Parker, Peggy Gordon & Amy O'Quinn. Survivors include her three children, Tammy Jefferson & husband Scott, Timothy Neal & wife Ellie Mae, & Todd Neal, nine grandchildren, Kara Jefferson-Sanchez (Mario), Adam Jefferson, Leslie Jefferson-Remes (Katie), Johnathan Neal, Heather Bailey (Steven), Erica Brown (Tony), Chad Neal, Crystal Earle (Brian) and Priscilla Minnix (Terry), 27 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren. Five siblings, Thomas Dunn (Sherry), Henry Lee Dunn (Maria), Dave Dunn (Pam), Virgie Lafferty (Roger) and Mary Heath (Fred) along with a host of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to acknowledge "Ms Rita's" family at Trinity Trace Community Care Center where she happily spent the last few years of her life.  The staff had become her second family which she loved dearly. Their care and love for our mother will forever hold a special place in our hearts. The family also would like to thank Enhabit Hospice Care team, their compassion and kindness was appreicated more than we ccould ever express. Services to celebrate the life of Rita Neal will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 27, 2025, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Dana Tuckermiller officiating. Honored pallbears are Timothy Neal, Todd Neal, Scott Jefferson, Adam Jefferson, Jonathan Neal and Jordan Stanton. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum in Princeton. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the service time.
