Ricky Lee Byrd, 60, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022. Born November 23, 1962, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Sylvia Alma Gaye Bostic Byrd and the late Edward Lee Byrd.. Ricky was a graduate of Richlands High School. He was a retired merchandiser with the Coca-Cola Company with 25 years of service. Ricky was a die-hard Cincinnati Reds fan, supporting them every season no matter how competitive the Reds were any given season. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Dewayne Byrd, niece, Christy Lee Byrd, and his beloved dog, Zoey. Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 8 years, Rose Lee Thomas; His mother, Alma Gaye Byrd; Sister, Sherri Denise Adkins and husband, Thomas; Brother, Terry Keith Byrd and wife, Martha; Sister-in-law, Rebecca Byrd; Several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Jim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens in Cedar Bluff. The family will receive friends from Monday, December 5, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. er 5, 2022 at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com. The Byrd family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
