Randy Ray McKinney, age 53, of Basin Road, Stephenson, died on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Raleigh General Hospital. Born, in Mullens on August 27, 1968. Randy succumbed to black lung working in many punch coal companies, serving 33 years as a coal miner. He also enjoyed hot rod cars. Special thanks to his live in companion, Kim Norman of two years. He was the son of the late Charles William McKinney and the late Linda Kay (Ellis) McKinney.  Randy's paternal grandparents, the late Oliver Kermit McKinney and Elza Jane (Shrewsbury) McKinney.  Maternal grandparents, the late Rev. Thomas (TS) Ellis and Victoria Johnson (Ida Mae) Ellis. He is survived by one brother, Charles Dwayne McKinney and wife Nita Marie of Northfork; Cousin, Charles (Boo) Ellis and wife Patricia; Uncle Britain McKinney and wife Elsie of Basin; Aunt Josephine Tolliver of Beckley; Randy's dog, Pee-Wee he loved so much. Randy will be missed and he loved all his friends and family. Randy has been cremated and graveside rites will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Shrewsbury Family Cemetery on Barker's Ridge.
