Preston Eugene Thomas, 90, of Princeton, went to his eternal home in heaven to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Mercer Healthcare Center located in Bluefield. Born June 27, 1936, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Robert Lewis Thomas & Ida Belle Hammond Thomas. Preston served proudly as a machine operator on the railroad. He was of the Pentecostal holiness faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Mathena Thomas and three of his siblings, Geneva Irene Thomas, Giles Hammond, and Robert Lee Thomas. Survivors include his two sons, Paul Eugene and wife Lisa Thomas, and Randal Wayne Thomas and Margie Tabor; Eight grandchildren, Amy Jo Dunford, Alisa Brown, Kiera Hatcher, Marissa Thomas, Isabella McFee, Randal Thomas, Eddie Albert & Cory Albert; Ten great-grandchildren, McKenzie Dunford, Noah Dunford, Aaron Blankenship, Maverick Thomas, Axel Thomas, Liam Hatcher, Madison Hatcher, Ciera Hatcher, Elisha and Isaiah Daniels; Two siblings, Georgia Barnette and Betty Ann Griffey; A host of nieces and nephews. Cryptside services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, August 3, 2026, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Michael Bishop officiating.
