Peggy Lou Kirk Nelson, 78, of Princeton, went home to be with her Lord & Savior Friday afternoon, June 30, 2023, in Lindside, West Virginia. Born March 25, 1945 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Kirk & Mary Lou Crawford Hazelwood. Peggy was a graduate of Athens High School. She worked at Hills Department Store several years and then retired from Princeton Community Hospital with more than 30 years of service. Peggy was a faithful and devoted member of the Princeton First Church of the Nazarene. She was an organist and pianist since her early teens and served many years in other phases of the church life. She loved music, singing, playing piano, working crossword puzzles, crocheting, and most of all, she loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by siblings: Harry Lee, Mason, Bill, Clarence & Helen. Those left to cherish her memory, her loving children: Kenny (Sherry) Grimm, Jackie (Danny Via) Grimm, Catrina Taylor, and Greg Taylor. She had 12 grand-children, 17 great-grandchildren. Aunts Autry Wimmer, Alda Vorce and cousin Leda Gay Burchette. Three Siblings, Bonnie (Frank) Stinson, Robert Hazelwood, and Eugene Hazelwood. Services to celebrate the life of Peggy Nelson will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the Church of the Nazarene on Oakvale Road in Princeton with Pastor John Branham. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from Noon until the service time at the church. Following the services, she will be cremated, and inurnment will be held in the Flummer Family Cemetery in Bluefield VA where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Grandad, Earl Crawford. Grandsons - Bryan Grimm, Ian Grimm, Tommy Grimm, David Taylor, Christian Taylor, and Sotero Flores will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com .
