Peggy Ann Cox, 69, of Springdale Avenue, Princeton, died Monday, September 26, 2022, Princeton Community Hospital. Born September 12, 1953, in Princeton she was the daughter of the late Jesse Hypes and Mary Jane Gooslin Hypes Lambert. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Peggy was a 1971 graduate of Athens High School and was a homemaker who dearly loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, George. Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Vernon A. Cox; Four children, Earnie Hollins and wife Christy, Steven Hollins and wife Amy, Timmy Cox and wife Cindy, Tammy Cox; Four siblings, Sharon Thompson and husband Tommy, Jesse Hypes and wife Dora, Shelia Conley and husband John, Carl Hypes and wife Sharon; Grandchildren, Alyson Hollins, Tyler Hollins, Sydney Hollins, Taylor Hollins, Chase Hollins, Rylee Hollins, Preston Hollins, Saydee Hollins and Louie Hollins; Step-grandchildren, Ashton White (Josh), Alyson Cox (Austin) and Zach Cox (Samantha); Step- great-grandchildren, Adley Cox and Carson White; Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive. The family has honored Peggy's request that she be cremated. Services to celebrate the life of Peggy Cox will be held at 5:00 P.M., Monday, October 10, 2022, from Johnston's Chapel Baptist Church on Halls Ridge Road, Princeton, with Pastor Dan Thyng officiating.  Friends may visit with the family from 4:30 P.M. until the service hour at the church.
