Paul Wesley Alford Sr., 72, of Princeton passed sweetly into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior early Saturday morning, July 29, 2023, at home with his family by his side. Born October 10, 1950, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Cecil W. Alford & Katherine Tiller Alford. Paul was a heavy equipment operator, having worked in the mines as well as in heavy construction. Following his retirement, for many years, Paul served as a transporter for the U.S. Postal System. He was a member of Peaceful Valley Church near Princeton. While his health would allow, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and his animals. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by seven siblings: Tommy, Jackie, Bobby, Ronnie, Charlie, Brenda & Calvin. Those left to cherish his memory, his loving and caring wife of 54 years, Cecilia Starlene Davis Alford, Two sons, Paul Wesley Alford Jr. & Belinda and Dalton Ellison, three grandchildren, Hunter Gage Alford, Ridge Ellison and Josey Ellison. Siblings, Pat Tolley & husband Buddy, Linda Osborne & husband Bob, and Doug Meekins & wife Terri. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Randall Shrewsbury officiating.   Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton.  Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
