Patsy Ruth Brant Bowles Tickle Blankenship, 85, of Elgood Road, Princeton, died peacefully, Saturday, May 20, 2023, at her home. Born September 30, 1937, at Iaeger, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Brant Sr. and Emma Frances Steele Brant. Patsy was a graduate of Iaeger High School and Concord College. She had a long career in education, having taught for 35 years at Bradshaw, Iaeger and Princeton Schools. Patsy attended Lilly Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Alfred Bowles, Jr., and her 2nd husband, C.W. (Bob) Blankenship and four siblings, Helen Brant Gardner, Lewis, Jr., Hershel and Sylvester Brant. Survivors include her two children, Jennifer Muncy (Toby) of Princeton, Michael Lewis Bowles (Sarita) of Ft. Chiswell, VA; She was affectionately known as Nena to her grandchildren and others. One grandchild, Colton Brant Muncy (Brittni); Two great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Gavin Brant Muncy and Bella Marie Muncy; Two step-grandchildren, Brooklynn Moore and Bradley Runyon; Four step-great-grandchildren, Aurora and Andrew Moore, Ethan and Aiden Runyon; Nephew, Reverend Johnny (Noveline) Brant; Nieces, Susan (Neal) Kennedy, Michel (David) Patterson, Cheryl (Mike) Mitchem, Kathy (Dave) Belcher, Lori Brant Witt (Lance) and Debbie Rambo. Special thanks to her caretakers, Idena Mitchell, Tish Lewis and Dawnetta Mitchell.  The family would also like to express their appreciation to Centerwell Home Health and to Amedysis Hospice. She loved all her family and friends and prayed for them daily. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Bruce Woodson, Rev. Randall Dority and Rev. Johnny Brant officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.  Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from Noon until the service hour. Serving as pallbearers will be Colton Muncy, Bradley Runyon, Rev. Johnny Brant, Shawn Averill, Kelly Christian and Bobby Muncy.
