With profound sorrow the children of Patricia Lee Rotenberry, share the news of the passing of their beautiful angelic mother. Mrs. Rotenberry, 96, of Carswell, McDowell County was born June 20, 1926, to Horace and Geneva Young. She was pre-deceased by her parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, son-in-law Bernard Warf, Jr and 2 grandsons, Mark Rotenberry and Ryan Mounts. She was married to Mason Rotenberry for 68 years, who pre-deceased by almost 10 years. They were the proud parents of 5 children, Rick Rotenberry (Sheron) of Dothan Al, Alecia Warf of Vinton, VA who made her home with her mother for the last 8 years, Rachel Cornett (Joe) of Anderson, SC, Edward Rotenberry (Paula) of Athens, WV, Diana Slevin (John) of Vinton, VA;  Grandchildren, Ann-Margaret Brammer (Tim), Kris Andrews (Todd), Janet Woodham-Carroll, Stephen Rotenberry (Ashley), Melissa Reed, Michael Warf (Tera), Nicholas Warf (Catrina), Stephanie Kirby (Clay), Joey Cornett, Dustin Mounts, David Corcoran (Mary Kay). Catherine Corcoran and Patrick Corcoran (Morgan); 33 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. She gives special thanks to her nephew, Clifford Rotenberry. She attended public schools in WV and NC and graduated from Northfork High School. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star at Kimball and Bramwell and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Rotenberry worked as a telephone operator while in high school and for a short time thereafter. She loved working in her flower garden, making artistic ceramics and reading. She avidly read to her children, grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She loved to write and kept almost daily diaries.  She was a wonderful cook and always served delicious meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Mrs. Rotenberry was a hard-working housewife who kept a meticulous house.  She loved to travel and spent many happy summer days at the lake or beach with her family. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Patricia Rotenberry will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with her nephew, Edward Young, III, speaking.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.  Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
