Nyla Athyline Clower, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and devoted Christian. She passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, with her family surrounding her. Born on. April 14, 1934, in Mullens, WV. Nyla was the daughter of the late Annie Poff Croy and Clearance Scott Croy. She was proceeded in death by her husband Roscoe Daniel Clower, four sons, Patrick Christopher Clower (Chris), Roscoe Daniel Clower Jr. (Danny), William Beecher Clower, and her born sleeping son Edward Dane Clower. Her grandson William Beecher Clower Jr.(willie). She also had a very special son in law Steve Micheal Clark. She was the last living relative of her 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Nyla is survived by her children Nyla Rosalee and spouse Steve Barbour of Axton Va, Clearance Scott Clower (CS) and wife Jody of Princeton WV, and Virginia Athyline (Ginny) and spouse Ricky Sizemore of Northfork, WV. Nine Grandchildren and ten Feisty Great Grandchildren.
Nyla was a devoted homemaker for many years and one of her greatest hobbies was growing her flowers and trees. She loved to write poems, songs and cards to her family and friends. She never saw a pretty rock that she didn't take home with her; she made most of her home decorations because she said it made her home feel like home. What many will remember about her is her love for stickers. Nyla had two sayings that she would tell her family and friends "Without God it could always be worse, and I love you more!" Nyla and her children also wanted to mention two of her grandchildren, Robert Clower, who cared for her while she was still living in her home and Brittany Rose who was her Lil Dr she told everyone about, her snack deliverer and her hairstylist.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory with Eddie Via officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Robert Clower, Dane Clower, James Rose, Jacob Bryant, Jason Bartfai and Jason Taylor . Flowers and gifts can be sent to Memorial Funeral Home or within the families wishes, donations can be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation. West Virginia Chapter https://www.alz.org/wv .
