Obituary

Nora Faye Trivett Keaton, 83, of Pipestem, was ushered into the arms of Jesus Wednesday afternoon, April 2, 2025, in the presence of her family. Born April 24, 1941, in Summers County, she was the daughter of the late Claude M. Trivett and Sue Weiss Trivett. Nora was educated in Summers County and had attended Concord College. She worked at Pipestem State Park at the "Honey Bear" day care until its closure, then many years in the laundry service until her retirement with 30 years of service. Nora loved her Lord and Savior, she was a faithful member of the First Church of God on Mahood Avenue in Princeton, she was ordained by the Church of God, Anderson IN in 1987.  Nora had taught Sunday School, served as an interim pastor for many churches in West Virginia and Virginia, as well as attending and supporting the State organization, while speaking at Craigsville and Rippling Waters State Campgrounds. While her health allowed, she loved working with her flowers and raising a garden, reading and studying her Bible. She was an avid collector of bells.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings. Those left to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 64 years, Lawrence Ray Keaton, three sons, Michael Ray Keaton and wife Lisa, James Leroy Keaton and wife Robyn and Bruce Allen Keaton and fiancé Cathy; She loved and adored her six grandchildren; Samantha, Johnathan, Eric, Gregory, Madison and Jacob and six great- grandchildren; Three siblings, Jimmy Trivett, Bill Trivett and Bertie May Hunsucker along with a host of nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate the life of Nora Keaton will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at First Church of God on Mahood Avenue in Princeton with Pastors Ray Jones and Charlie Shrewsbury officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Mount Cemetery at Pipestem. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton and one hour prior to services at the church.  Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com .  The Keaton family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
