Nona R. Sargent Arthur, 66, of Princeton, passed away on July 1, 2025. Born in Princeton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Billy S. Sargent and Wilda Sargent Shatley. Nona was a caregiver to her disabled son for 41 years, as well as a direct support professional for Southern Highlands Community Mental Health. Nona was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Miles Shatley; husband, David Arthur; and son, Christopher D. Arthur; brother, Billy Sargent, Jr.; and sister, Teresa (Janie) Sargent; grandparents, Grace King and William and Nancy Harvey. Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Bobby Sargent and wife, Cindy; sister, Beverly (Sue) Lewis and her furbabies, Kiwi and Rayne; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends. The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for Hospice Compassus for their diligent care. The family will honor Nona's request, there will be no services.
