Nita D. Wade, 87, of Old Athens Road, Princeton , passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, May 4, 2022, at Heritage Hall, in Rich Creek, VA. Born, June 17, 1934, in Wikel, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lottie Mann Dickson. She graduated from Greenville High School in Monroe County and attended Concord College. Nita taught school in Mercer and McDowell counties before devoting herself to being a wife, mother to her three girls, and homemaker. Nita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Nita loved her Lord, her family, working in her flowers, sewing, and quilting. She was a devoted member of the Princeton Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Ronald A. Wade; Three siblings, Vivian Dickson Crawford, David Dickson and Harold Ray Dickson. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Brenda Wade, Debra Wade Arrington and husband Sam, Rhonda Wade Watson and husband David; One sister, Bonnie Dickson Hill; Four grandchildren, Jennifer Miller Hagerman (Michael), Joseph Miller (Brandy), Eric Arrington (Elizabeth) and Michael Wade Arrington (Mikayla); Six great-grandchildren, Michael Monroe Hagerman, Nikolas Miller, Vayden Michael Miller, Emalee L. Miller, Nicole Johnson and Jason Beau Romeo; Several nieces, nephews and in-laws. The family of Nita Wade would like to thank the caring staff of Heritage Hall and Kindred Hospice Service. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Nita Wade will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 9, 2022, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton, with Elder Joe Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A. M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family will serve as pallbearers.
