Neva C. Blankenship, 84, of Princeton, was ushered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior early Sunday morning, September 28, 2025, with her family at her side.

Born May 15, 1941, at Crane Creek, she was the daughter of the late Robert R. Godfrey and Goldie Perry Cassell Godfrey. After high school, Neva married the love of her life, Rhule Vernon Blankenship.  Neva was a faithful member of First Church of God on Mahood Avenue, in Princeton, where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class, WCG, Silver Saints and the Red Hat Society. Neva was a kind and gentle soul, a lover of people, especially children. Children of all ages flocked to Neva, she was a babysitter for a host of area families for many, many years. Neva shared love with everyone who crossed her path.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Rhule, and four siblings, Evelyn Helmandollar, Richard Godfrey, Kenneth Cassell & Louise Cassell Date.

Those left to cherish her memory, three children, Greg Blankenship, Michael Blankenship (Linda) & Lisa Powell, six grandchildren, Alessia, Chelsea, Anna, Jordan, Brandon & Carly, twelve great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

A service of celebration for Neva's homegoing will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 3, 2025, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Ray Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10:00 A. M. until the service time.  Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
