Obituary

Charles "Nathan" Elmore, of Princeton, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Princeton Community Hospital following a life well lived. Nathan was born May 12, 1937, in Princeton. He was a long-time active member of Princeton First United Methodist Church. Nathan worked in the natural gas industry for most of his working career and had served as president of the WV Propane Gas Association. He was the son of the late Fleming Wade Elmore and Alice Vest Elmore of Greasy Ridge in Princeton and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by sisters, Lucille Shelton and Gladys Wall and brothers, Tracy Elmore, Randolph Elmore and Franklin Elmore. Nathan is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Rosa Lee Elmore; One daughter Kathryn Elmore Dooley and her husband Richard; One granddaughter, Lynsey Lea Artrip; One great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Rose Artrip. The family will celebrate his life at noon, Friday, December 1, 2023, with a graveside service to be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens (Garden of Trinity) on the Courthouse Road in Princeton with Pastor Michael Rexroad of the First United Methodist Church officiating.  There will be no visitation, friends wishing to attend graveside services are requested to meet at the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton by 11:45 A.M.
