Nancy W. Smith, 94, of Halls Ridge Road, Princeton, died peacefully Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. Born, October 17, 1929, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Walter Whittaker and Eulah Cahill Whittaker. Nancy loved the Lord, and was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton. Nancy was a homemaker and in her earlier years worked for Appalachian Power Company at the Glen Lyn Power Plant. Nancy enjoyed crafting, cooking for her family and friends, reading, being a hostess and was the last living member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by loving husband, Albert G. Smith, a son, Glenn C. Smith, and her siblings, Perry Whittaker, Virginia Queen, Mildred Quesenberry, James "Bud" Whittaker, Jack Whittaker, Bernadine Brown and Clara Bernice Whittaker. Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted son, Keith A. Smith and wife Carolyn; Three grandsons, Christopher Smith and wife Lauren, Brandon Banda and wife Joy, Brian Banda and wife Dacia; Six great-grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Nancy Smith will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, October 23, 2023, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Aubrey Whitlow and Jeff Whittaker her nephews officiating. Burial will follow in the Queen/Whittaker Cemetery on Halls Ridge, Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from Noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com .
