Nancy Pearl Abshire, 78, of Princeton, formerly of Spanishburg, died peacefully Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Princeton Health Care Center. Born December 26, 1944, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Guy Mills & Hester Kinser Mills. Nancy was a devoted homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. While her health permitted, she enjoyed working in the garden, canning, cooking & quilting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Hassel Ray Abshire, and two brothers: Frank & Jim Mills. Survivors include her two children, Barbara Farley & husband Larry, Glen Abshire, three grandchildren; Kristen, Nathaniel & Aaron, along with five siblings; Deloris Howerton, Lillian Maxey, Vivian Wood, Johnny Mills & David Mills and a host of nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 15, 2023, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with her son in law, Larry Phillips speaking on behalf of the family. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour. She will be inurned in Roselawn Memorial Gardens beside her husband at a later date.
