Molly Barker Dickerson, 86, of N. McNutt Avenue, Princeton, died peacefully, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born, April 4, 1937, in Lamar, WV, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Mitchell "Sam" Barker and Billie Burke White Barker. Molly was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Molly loved her Lord and was a faithful member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church for over 50 plus years. She retired from Maidenform as a seamstress. Molly and her late husband Carl were members of the Farmers Market for many years. She was a very meticulous lady who had a contagious personality and always spoke her mind, but who dearly loved her family. Molly enjoyed cooking, flowers, playing rook but was best known according to everyone, for her rolls, chess pies and pecan pies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Carl Dickerson, four siblings, Ricky Barker, Shirley Barker, Nancy Bolin and Billy Joe Barker. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Debbie Smith and husband Ocal, Rhonda Dickerson Wright and fiancée Brian Mayes, Steven Dickerson and wife Huong; Three grandchildren, Sabrina Porrazzo and husband Chris, Justin Wright and companion Krissy, Lyndsey Thompson and husband Donny; Six great-grandchildren, Kloey, Trevor, Allison, Traevyn, Carleigh and Paisley; Siblings, Sammy Barker, Judy Brookman, Bonnie Flanigan, Janie Walters and husband Colin, Kelly Barker, Randy Barker and wife Ellen, Cecil Barker and wife Janet, Larry Barker, Vickie Kelly and Christie Barker; Several nieces, nephews, friends and church family also survive. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Molly Dickerson, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Scott Catron officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Walters, Bo Barker, Travis Barker, Heath Barker, Gary Cunningham and Dewayne Nelson. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com .
